Over the past few months I have found myself having conversations in my head with each of you. These conversations recur and change and occasionally grow in length and depth. Since I rarely have an opportunity to hold a one-on-one conversation with any one of you, I am creating this blog as a platform for these talks. They will of necessity be one sided, but old men who write rather like to expound in such a manner. One gets fewer interruptions and leaves the thoughts undiluted by defenses and verbal misunderstandings. They also, of course, are preserved to be reread as one's understandings mature. If at any time any of you would like to comment on posts directed to you (or to all in general) your thoughts will be welcome. Verbal or email responses are also solicited. As you read, remember that what you see is available to everyone in the family, and will be phrased accordingly. Pls keep this in mind when you post any comments. This adds another dimension that would not be there in a private conversation. This is a two edged sword. It makes the issues it addresses available as subject of conversation or comment at any gathering, but it should keep all posted comments civil and non-confrontational. I hope and trust that you will all enoy!
